That said, I'd like to try running this. I really like Jim Butcher's Dresdenverse. And OMG I was really overwhelmed by this stuff. But then I heard of DFA and it seemed as a solution to my problems. Shorter and more streamlined. I have preordered the book and then I have read the PDF. And it's much more to I really like Jim Butcher's Dresdenverse.

But I would like to have seen more examples, more mantles, more conditions and more stunts. It remains to be seen if Fate will be my RPG But the book in itself is wonderful.

Written by Ivy, the Archive and with snarky remarks from Kincaid it was a fun experience to read for me. Mar 13, JesterOC rated it it was amazing. I had GMed Dresden Files when it came out.

It was great fun probably the most memorable games I ever ran however the detail and complexity were just too high. The magic system was so hard, most of my players opted for playing scions and such. It required the GM me to help players with the system many times during play even after many sessions. Eventually I was burnt out and we moved on. The simplified rules also simplifies NPC creation, leaving just the essentials of what is needed to bring the NPC to life. They created new FATE rules for conditions that I suspect will be making it to their future games, it simplifies the game while at the same time gives us a huge pallet that we can draw upon to enhance PCs and NPCs alike.
